This grade of timber can be used for numerus types of applications including roof rafters, floor joist, studwork, timber framing and many more. Ideal for use in general construction where load bearing is necessary.
Pre Graded in compliance to British Standard BS5534. The grading process divides timber into classes dependent on there strengths, In the UK the most popular grades are C16, C24 and C25. C16 being the lower of the three. Machined grading requires the timber to undergo several specific stress testing procedures. Timber that has gone through a grading process should bare a stamp identifying its particular grade.
Pressure treatment is a process that forces wood preservatives into the timber. This process is considered to be the best and most effective method to extend and preserve the timber’s lifespan. Preservatives protect the wood from attack by wood ingesting insects; like termites, and wood rot caused by fungal decay.
Kiln dried and machined regularised for a better finish and greater dimensional consistency.
