Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully and mark that you accept these terms and conditions at the bottom

Financial

Payment. Our terms are strictly nett monthly account: i.e. payment to be received on or before the last day of the month following the month of delivery. If any part of the total outstanding becomes overdue, we reserve the right to request payment of whole sum outstanding.

Interest. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at the rate 4% per month if terms exceed.

Prices. Prices are strictly nett excluding VAT and are subject to alteration without prior notice.

Quotations. On all quotations you will be given a number and contact name. Please state these when confirming a quotation as an order. Although we endeavour to hold quoted prices, we cannot guarantee a fixed period of time. Delivery or performance times are intended only as a guide and we do not accept liability for delays however caused.

Credit Limits. We will set you a credit limit when we open your account. Should you go over the credit limit at any time, we will request an immediate payment to give you a trading balance. At the same time we may review the account to establish whether we can grant a higher limit. If no payment is received, the account may be placed on hold with no further trading possible until the balance is reduced.

Customer Relations

Contact Names. Our staff will always give their name. Please keep a note of it for future reference.

Claims. The number of bundles and boards and their condition should be checked on arrival. Claims for shortage or damage in transit MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY. Claims not applying to shortage or damage in transit will be considered providing they are made WITHIN THREE WORKING DAYS OF DELIVERY

Collection. Once agreed, collections will be effected within 10 working days.

Cancellations. Orders cancelled after loading or despatch will be liable to re- handling charge of 30% of the order value (minimum £30). This also applies to goods incorrectly ordered, not required or returned without prior consultation. For any specials, we will require the sale full price.

Credits. Bona fide claims will be dealt with within 24 hours of notification by way of credit note, unless goods require inspection, in which case our representative will call within five working days.

Delivery Service

Deliveries. We deliver direct to your site; suitable access for our vehicles must be available. Please give us clear delivery instructions, i.e. full address, a site telephone number and contact name. Goods will only be offloaded if there is someone on site to accept delivery.

Stock Lengths. Please give us as much option on lengths as you can. Minimum and maximum are essential. If a specific length can be produced by cutting to waste, the full length will be charged.

Availability. We maintain large stocks but all items are offered subject to being available at time of loading.

Other Liability. Goods are not tested as fit for any particular purpose. We shall not be liable for any warp, shrinkage, splitting, waste or any other movement caused by temperature, humidity or any other conditions. In no circumstances whatsoever shall our company’s liability to our customer arising under, out of, or in connection with the goods supplied, exceed the invoice price of the particular piece(s) in regard to which a complaint is found to be valid.

Title of Goods. The ownership of all goods remains with T Chambers & Son until full payment has been made. We reserve the right to repossess goods not paid for. The risk of goods passes to you the customer upon delivery.

Invoicing. Invoices are sent following delivery. For customers with more than one branch, invoices and statements can be forwarded to head office. Please advise us in writing if you have any special request about the way in which you are invoiced.

Account Viability. It is within our discretion to close an account if we deem it non cost effective to service.

Notification of change of address/ trading style. If any time you change your trading style or move premises, please inform us. Failure to do so may place the account on hold with no further trade until the necessary paper work has been completed.

Holding of information. During the course of our trading partnership, we shall store information about your transactions with T Chambers & Son.

Declarations

I am dutily authorised by the applicant business to enter into this agreement on its behalf. We agree that payment of your invoices will be made strictly in accordance with the credit terms stated thereon. We recognise that if payment of your invoices is not made by the due date for payment, it may result in the matter being referred to the Credit Protection Association for recovery of the invoice debt; if so, we are to indemnify you against the costs you incur in referring the matter to CPA to pursue the debt including CPA’s current applicable fees for witing to us, any commission payable by you to CPA, all reasonable incidental costs of recovering the debt and interest as applicable.

We/I understand that as part of your assessment of us for the granting of credit, you will send details of our application to The Credit Protection Association plc. who will search databases to which it has access. It may also search a credit reference agency for information relating to us (and in the case of a non-limited business, also relating to the proprietors ). The credit reference agency will record the fact of that search in the name of Credit Proieciioti Association plc.

We/I authorise our bankers to provide an opinion as to our suitability for the requested account.
